Results of the 1st Bioceramics Student Speech Contest
The ECerS Bioceramics Network is delighted to announce the winners of the 1st Bioceramics Student Speech Contest, which took place online from 17 to 18 April 2024!
The ECerS Bioceramics Network would like to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the participants of the Student Speech Contest. The jury was truly impressed by the high level of scientific presentation and professionalism demonstrated!
Here are the results:
1st place: Tamara Matic (Serbia)
Composite scaffolds based on mesoporous bioactive glasses and Sr,Mg-doped calcium-phosphates as cell carriers for bone tissue engineering
2nd place: Ilijana Kovrlija (Latvia)
Octacalcium Phosphate Biomaterials: Formation Process, Modification and Application
3rd place: Marcela Arango Ospina (Germany)
Incorporation of boron and strontium in silicate bioactive glasses for enhanced antibacterial properties

ACerS is offering travelling grants of 1.500 $ to attend the two 2024 ECerS Summer Schools
The grants can be allowed to undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. students from non-European based universities. The 2024 ECerS Summer Schools will be held prior to Electroceramics XIX (Vilnius, Lithuania - School: 17-18 August 2024) and Shaping 9 (Warsaw, Poland - School: 24-25 September 2024)!
Next deadline for the JECS Trust mobility Grant is 31st August 2024!
Please note that the decisions of the JECS Trust board will not be known before Mid-October 2024 and so the project submitted must not begin before mid-November 2024.
