Funding for Ceramics Research and Education
The JECS Trust was formally set up in December 2007 to oversee the expenditure of funds passed on to the European Ceramic Society (ECerS) by the Society’s Journal and by its publisher, Elsevier.
In its allocation of the Trust’s resources, the Trust Council aims :
- To enable the European Ceramic Societies to engage in a broad range of activities for the benefit of its membership.
- To strengthen research and teaching in Europe within the subject of ceramics.
- To maintain and build on the current strong position of the Journals.

09/23 - IWAC09 registration and abstract submission
We are pleased to announce the upcoming International Workshop on Advanced Ceramics (IWAC09) which will be held in Limoges on September 26-29, 2023.
12/23 - BioCAM
The Additive Manufacturing applied to Bioceramics event will take place from 6th to 8th December 2023 in Mons, Belgium.
08/25 - XVIV ECerS Conference - Dresden 2025
The XIXth Conference of the European Ceramic Society will take place from August 31 to September 4, 2025 at the International Congress Center in Dresden, Germany.

New ECerS officers for the 2023-2025 period
During the Council meeting that was held in Lyon, France, on 2nd July 2023, the ECerS officers were renewed or changed.
Next Deadline to apply for Mobility to the JECS Trust is 31st August 2023!
Please note that the decisions of the JECS Trust board will not be known before beginning of mid-October 2023. Activities submitted for the deadline of 31st August 2023 for support from the JECS Trust should then not begin before 1st November 2023.
